My name is Samantha Tomlinson, and I am a dedicated Master’s level clinician who is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, about to obtain my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) by the end of 2024. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults, and helping clients navigate challenges with care, respect, and understanding.
My experience includes supporting clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. While these have been my primary focus areas, I welcome clients with diverse needs and am open to addressing any concerns they bring to therapy. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and humanistic psychology to help clients uncover their strengths, build inner resilience, and develop long-term solutions for a happier, healthier life. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard and respected.
I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, including crisis intervention, IBHS (Intensive Behavioral Health Services), group therapy, and outpatient therapy. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the levels of care each individual may require and strengthened my ability to provide personalized support. My ultimate goal is to obtain my LPC and incorporate animal-assisted therapy into my practice to further enhance the therapeutic experience.
At McKernan Therapy and Consultation, I am committed to guiding children, adolescents, and adults toward growth, healing, and a stronger sense of self.
