The goal of this group is to provide informal support for mothers and caregivers. As caregivers, you play a key role in developing your child’s social and emotional skills. This involves helping them navigate everyday challenges.
The group offers an opportunity to discuss parenting strategies and challenges specific to preschool-aged children (ages 3–5). You can connect with other parents facing similar situations. Discussions may include parental stress, limited time for self-care, behavioral challenges, or the stigma of raising a child with behavioral concerns.
The focus will be on learning effective strategies and interventions for parenting children with various diagnoses, such as ADHD, ODD, and anxiety. The group will also explore different parenting styles and their impact on a child’s development.
The group meetings will be led by Lauren Wenclewicz at our office in Yardley, PA. Sessions will begin on Wednesday, October 4th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and will continue every Wednesday for eight weeks.
My name is Lauren Wenclewicz, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Behavioral Specialist (LBS) based in Yardley, PA. I work with children aged 5–12 and teenagers aged 13–18. These individuals often face challenges such as hyperactivity (e.g., attention difficulties, lack of focus, school problems), impulsivity, and oppositional defiance. I also support clients dealing with anxiety, including social anxiety and generalized anxiety, as well as adjustment issues like divorce or changes in school or family dynamics.
I have extensive experience working with clients on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) spectrum. My work focuses on building social skills, such as understanding social boundaries, showing empathy, and practicing perspective-taking.
Currently, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based techniques, and solution-focused approaches. These methods help clients challenge negative thoughts and focus on their strengths. My goal is to guide clients toward practical solutions rather than focusing solely on problems.
