Sara Christopher, M.S.

Masters Level Clinician

Sara Christopher believes that every individual has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when they feel supported, understood, and empowered. She is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and collaborative environment where children, adolescents, young adults, and families feel comfortable exploring life’s challenges while building confidence, resilience, and practical coping skills.

Drawing on her experience as a certified school counselor and Director of College Counseling, Sara has extensive experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and their families through academic, emotional, behavioral, and developmental transitions. Her background allows her to understand the challenges clients may experience both inside and outside of school, including academic pressure, social difficulties, executive functioning concerns, college planning, and the transition into young adulthood.

Sara takes a collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to therapy. She believes that a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful and lasting change and works to ensure that each client feels heard, respected, and supported. Sara tailors treatment to each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals while helping them develop practical strategies that can be applied in their everyday lives.

Sara incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based techniques into her work. She helps clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, strengthen executive functioning skills, increase self-confidence, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress and change.

Sara enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, low self-esteem, school-related stress, and college or career transitions. She also values working closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, improve family relationships, and create consistent support for children and adolescents across home, school, and community settings.

Sara earned her Master of Science in School Counseling from Holy Family University and her Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She is currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania while continuing to expand her clinical experience.

Sara is bilingual in English and Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to support individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

Outside of the office, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons, and their four Shih Tzus. She also enjoys volunteering within the local community and believes that kindness, connection, and lifelong learning are essential to personal growth and meaningful relationships.
