Experience & Practices

Tori began her journey to becoming a therapist at Seton Hill University, studying pre-art therapy with a dual major in studio art and psychology. During her four years at Seton Hill, she gained extensive training in both fields and completed pre-art therapy courses. This foundation was complemented by an internship in an inpatient psychiatric care unit. Through courses like ceramics, drawing, painting, and 2D and 3D design, Tori learned to use art in a therapeutic way for clients without prior art education. Tori’s approach blends art and talk therapy, aiming to help clients discover their authentic selves, express their emotions, and cultivate self-compassion. She pursued a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Art Therapy at Holy Family University. During her graduate studies, Tori worked as a graduate assistant in the AACHIEVE! program at Bucks County Community College. There, she supported students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnoses as they transitioned from high school to college. Her year-long internship focused on higher-level care, helping clients with eating disorders and other mental health challenges. Drawing from these experiences, Tori excels in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults seeking to find their place in the world. She specializes in self-esteem issues, processing past events, and managing diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, phobias, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and stress-related disorders.
Tori uses CBT, ACT, solutions-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques in addition to art therapy. These modalities help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and how past life events continue to impact them today. They also guide clients toward living authentically. In sessions, clients work through various tools that they can use outside of therapy. These tools help process emotions when facing grief, struggles with social relationships, school-related issues, family conflicts, and more.
